HOLLOW FOOT

Hollow foot – description
The disease which manifests itself in the complete opposite way to fallen arches and flat foot is known as hollow foot. It is significantly less common than fallen arches and flat foot. What those with fallen arches and flat foot lack, those with hollow foot have too much of: the arch along the length of the foot. This is more pronounced in those with hollow foot, meaning that energy can only be partially transferred during the roll-through movement.
Hollow foot – causes
In most cases, hollow foot is hereditary and therefore inborn. To save space, we will not go into the rare causes that lead to the non-hereditary type of hollow foot that can be developed here.
